Wood & Weather Drum Academy is the premier drum school of Western Massachusetts. We offer lessons covering the full gamut of drumming, from drum set and percussion to recording and beat making. In-person and remote lessons offered. All ages and experience welcome.

Our teachers
Music lessons are not one size fits all. Our teachers craft a unique lesson plan for each student, setting goals in line with their musical interests while building off the fundamentals to ensure a well-rounded musical vocabulary.

COLIN JALBERT
Colin Jalbert is a drummer, electronic musician and educator from Western Massachusetts. After starting out on pots and pans at age 5, Colin went on to study with Clark Seibold and later with Dr. Peter Coutsouridis at Westfield State University. With a decade of private and classroom teaching experience, his approach draws from the rich tradition of the drumset and the younger lineage of electronic music production. Colin has toured and performed with Kat Wright, Eric Krasno, Amos Lee, Mammal Dap, Ryan Hommel, Beau Sasser, Sun Parade, Gokh-Bi System, Sweetback Sisters and many others.

Colin Jalbert
Colin Jalbert is a drummer, electronic musician and educator from Western Massachusetts. Starting on pots and pans at age 5, Colin went on to study with Clark Seibold and later with Dr. Peter Coutsouridis at Westfield State University. With over a decade of private and classroom teaching experience, he brings an intentful approach to every lesson. Colin currently tours and performs with Kat Wright and Jalbatross, and performs solo as Screensavor. He has worked with Eric Krasno, Amos Lee, members of Wu-Tang Clan, Mammal Dap, and Sweetback Sisters among many others.

Ted Sullivan
Ted Sullivan has been playing and studying drums and percussion for over 20 years. He received his music degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010, where he studied with renown Jazz drummer and educator Bob Gullotti. When he's not performing with his own band Beast Mode, he can be seen backing countless acts across New England including the Boston-based BT/ALC Big Band and Planet Radio. Ted's teaching style draws from a deep knowlege of funk, R&B and jazz, coupled with a love of hip hop and his talents as a beatmaker.
