Paul Francis of Cymbal Craftsman took this rigid, heavy (originally 2288g) pre-split Istanbul, and opened it up while keeping a medium ride character. The ride still plays focused and dry, but no longer dark and muddy. Paul lathed and hammered this cymbal to bring out the original chiming note, give clarity to the highs and add a touch of crashability.
