Made for Munetaka Higuchi of the Loudness for their 1991 Tour. Set was retired shortly after the tour ended and stored most of its life.

Features thick shells all around - from what we can gather the smaller tom toms seem to be around 8 plies and starting at the floor toms they seem to go to 10 ply. Some of the plies vary in thickness. Our guess is this is an early example of pearls graduated shell thickness that shows up later on their timeline.

Super gripper style lugs on every drum aside from the snare drum.

Absolutely stunning REAL Mother of Pearl hand inlayed on each drum with black lacquer background and a high gloss finish. The finish is incredibly unique and has amazing attention to detail.

16" Floor tom has the option for hanging.

Each drum featured a Pearl branded pickup or a remaining portion of one. For what its worth these have not been tested and probably could just be carefully removed from the drum. The snare drum has a small bit of residue from its trigger on the front panel.

All in all the kit is in AMAZING shape for a drum set that was toured in 90s. Not much to complain about - we highlighted a section on the bd hoop with some tape residue and a scratched up bass drum claw.

A selection of replacement hardware will also be included with the sale to keep up with upkeep on the set. Extra ft brackets, lugs, tension rods, claws, etc.

To anyone local enough to entertain picking up the drum set - we do have a black rack with all the correct components to keep this up and running. Includes tom arms, boom style cymbal arms and the actual square pearl rack with an additional leg for the gong drum. Also plenty of road cases to keep the kit safe - contact for more info on that.
