1930-40s A. Zildjian 14" First Stamp Hi-Hats
954/1093g
Different lathing, hammering and profile between these cymbals. Unlikely to be an original pair, but arrived at the shop played as a such. Fat, low pitched attack and chick with plenty of projection.
Top hat: 954g. 13 7/8". 1 1/16" center hole. Edges in good shape aside from playing wear and a minor chip on edge, which feels to have been sanded and prevent to avoid cracking. Some small chips and keyholing in center hole. Looks like a possible small, hairline crack in center hole. Smooth lathing and even hammering, with extra hammering in the bell.
Bottom hat: 1093g. 13 3/4". 1 1/16" center hole. Drilled for 6 large rivets. Playing wear and fleabites around. One very small chip on edge. Minor keyholing in bell hole. Hairline cracks starting in rivet hole noted with marker.
